palfinger shows responsibility

Did you know that humanity has exhausted its natural resources for this year as of today? PALFINGER also takes on environmental responsibility and wants to use resources economically.

Along with maximization of safety during product use, minimization of power consumption, costs, and emissions throughout the product life cycle is essential. Michael Völker will now answer a few questions on “Sustainable Products”.

The blog series continues with SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth. It is committed to attractive employment and the future viability of business models.

On Saturday, June 23rd, PALFINGER – in cooperation with the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid – again welcomed many children and their families. Already for the 15th time, we organized a number of sports cars and attractions.

In the rating for VÖNIX sustainability index, PALFINGER received B+ as a sustainable business in 2018. The Company was specifically praised for having strategies concerning sustainability management, stakeholder orientation and corporate ethics.

Travelling by train means saving CO2 and making a good contribution to environmental protection. The employees of the PALFINGER Headquarters in Austria have travelled by rail so often that 11.3 tonnes of CO2 emissions were saved in 2017.

Already for the third time PALFINGER accepts the award GREEN BRANDS Austria seal. We are proud to have been honoured for our many years of ecological and social commitment.

The second part of the blog series is dedicated to the SDG 13 and thus to climate protection. Measures for the climate protect our nature and counteract climate change.

In Oekom’s corporate rating of 2018, PALFINGER was again rated B–, corresponding to prime status. The agency was particularly appreciative of the Company's measures relating to resource-conserving production and product safety.
