PALFINGER has committed to the new, ambitious Standards of SBTi

PALFINGER has signed on to the historic UN Global Compact’s “Business Ambition for 1.5°C” coalition. This means that we’ve committed to the new Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) Standard – a rigorous and demanding framework for companies across sectors and regions to achieve an ambitious near-term emission target by 2030, that is aligned 1.5°C global warming and further strives for net-zero emissions at the latest by 2050. We at PALFINGER are honoured to step forward early with this commitment – in the hope that many more will follow.

PALFINGER is now at a turning point in the history of our company. We’ve realised that the time to change is now, because a future beyond 1.5°C of warming is frankly unthinkable. We’re determined to reduce emissions and our impact on the natural world, manage resources, care for all the people we touch with our operations, and deliver more sustainable solutions to partners and stakeholders.

In keeping with the SBTi commitment, we’re also ramping up transparency; every step of our sustainable evolution from here will be aligned with SBTi.

The truth is, to make this happen, we must engage in accelerated innovation at a rate we have never seen before. But it is clear to us that the Race to Zero is the only way forward. We invite partners, peers, and stakeholders across the corporate sector to join us in this vital project for a prosperous and liveable future.
