Movement for a Good Cause: PALFINGER Supports Doctors Without Borders
PALFINGER employees around the world collected more than 1.1 million minutes of movement in just one month. The world's leading technology company converted this dedication into a EUR 10,000 donation for the international aid organization Doctors Without Borders, sending a strong sign of global solidarity.
From October 1 to 31, 2024, every PALFINGER employee around the world was given the opportunity to take part in the fifth edition of the PALfit Active Moments health promotion program and collect minutes of movement. Regardless of whether they cycled, played volleyball, swam, did yoga, jogged, or walked - every activity counted. Taking part was easy: employees could register on their own, or in teams of two up to five people, and enter the number of minutes they spent keeping fit every day.
Movement makes a difference
With a total of over 1,128,871 minutes of movement collected, employees managed to exceed the set target of 1.1 million minutes. In recognition of this exceptional commitment, PALFINGER has donated EUR 10,000 in support of the international organization Doctors Without Borders. The organization has been providing medical and humanitarian aid in areas of crisis worldwide for over 50 years and operates according to the principles of independence, neutrality and impartiality.
The PALFINGER PALfit program
Active Moments is part of the PALfit health program, which has been implemented and continuously developed within the company for over 20 years. The program not only promotes physical activity, but also includes further education on mindfulness, self-management and handling stress. Global campaigns such as PALfit Active Moments raise employee awareness of movement and health.
“The impressive number of employees who took part around the world underlines PALFINGER's commitment to promoting physical and mental health. Thanks to their effort, we have not only done something positive for our health together, but have also made a contribution to funding medical care in areas of crisis,” says Maria Koller, CHRO at PALFINGER.
