PALFINGER: Appreciation for the Heroes of the Pandemic

Success is best when it is shared. PALFINGER sees it that way too and, in addition to a Corona Bonus for its employees, donates financial support to two international aid organizations.

What started as a challenging year, 2021 developed into one of the most successful financial years in the history of PALFINGER AG. The global technology and engineering company is taking this success as an opportunity to reward its around 12,000 employees worldwide with a Corona Bonus. At the same time, PALFINGER supports the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) with a donation of EUR 15,000 each.

“For their ongoing commitment, dedication, and loyalty, we would like to say a big thank you to all employees at PALFINGER and show our appreciation for their achievements with the Corona Bonus. We look forward to continuing to grow together in the future,” says Hubert Palfinger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at PALFINGER AG.

Andreas Klauser, CEO of PALFINGER AG, also expresses his gratitude for the past year and adds: “In addition to our appreciation for our employees, we would like to highlight other heroes of the pandemic who are making a valuable contribution in the fight against COVID-19. We are pleased to financially support both the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) with our donation.”

“The corona pandemic is one of the biggest health crises in human history. The Red Cross network has been working around the world against the coronavirus for nearly two years. Among other things, Red Cross personnel provide information about the virus and how to get protected by taking hygiene measures. Helping is always teamwork - thank you to the people at PALFINGER for their support,” says Red Cross President Gerald Schöpfer.

“Currently, MSF teams around the world are fighting COVID-19 in over 40 countries on 6 continents. With their support, we have been able to treat over 304,900 outpatients and over 33,500 inpatients that had COVID-19 since mid-2021 alone. Without donations like this, providing assistance on such a scale would not be possible. Thank you for your great help!” says Leo Ho, President of Doctors Without Borders Austria.
