PALFINGER: Into the Future with Solutions and Product Innovations
At this year’s IAA, PALFINGER presents the latest product innovations and drives the industry forward with its solutions. Focusing on the customer, the world's leading provider of innovative crane and lifting solutions delivers answers to the challenges of tomorrow.
The future cannot be predicted, but it can be proactively shaped. At the IAA 2022, PALFINGER presents digitalized, eco-efficient and smart solutions that make work easier, safer, more cost effective and more efficient. “We are evolving from a producer of future-proof technical products to a provider of integrated complete solutions. We enable our customers to work smarter and more sustainably and support them throughout the entire product life cycle. We are looking forward to presenting our solutions in person and meeting our customers and partners again at the IAA Transportation trade fair,” says PALFINGER CEO Andreas Klauser.
With the company’s Vision & Strategy 2030, PALFINGER defines a proactive approach to the megatrends digitalization, sustainability and social change. Based on the pillars “Go Digital” and “Go for Solutions”, the company is driving comprehensive digitalization of all divisions and expanding its product range to offer its customers and partners integrated complete solutions. The products and solutions presented at the IAA take this orientation into account across all products and are presented under the tagline “Together we can reach anything”:
Smart Lifting Solutions
The loader crane, PALFINGER’s core product, is “living” proof that good things can always get better. With the new PK 250 TEC exhibited for the first time, PALFINGER presents an innovative showcase model that makes crane operation much easier thanks to smart control systems. Equipped with the new PALTRONIC 180 control system, and the innovative Smart Control crane tip controller with Memory Position function, the TEC crane enables even smarter and more efficient work. Another perfect piece of equipment is the PK 135.002 TEC 7 with a maximum lifting torque of 109 meter tons and a maximum reach of over 34 meters. Using the reinforced front support, increased stability is possible when working over the cab. GENERATION 3 models will take over the timber and recycling cranes in the future. With the longest reach in its class of up to just under eleven meters, and the new Comfort Drive and smart control systems, the new generation makes work much easier and is now also one of the fastest in its class. With the F3 151 Silent Pack truck-mounted forklift, PALFINGER also presents the lightest and quietest truck-mounted forklift in its class. The smart Silent Pack system allows efficient and smooth work in noise-sensitive environments. PALFINGER will also be presenting the lightest 1,000 kg tail lift on the market at the IAA. At the same time, the PTC 1000 LLW offers maximum payload with lower fuel consumption, making it the perfect choice for reducing environmental footprint. Its custom-built supports ensure that it does not compromise on stability and robustness.
Smart Solutions
In line with its Vision & Strategy 2030, PALFINGER is using the potential of digitalization along the entire customer journey for the benefit of its customers. Starting at the quotation phase with the PALFINGER product configurator, to digital service processes such as Smart Inspection, and the PALFINGER e-commerce shop for spare parts. Above all, features provided during operation are essential, such as the new IMPACT service app for tail lifts. It ensures smooth cooperation between truck drivers, service partners and fleet managers. Thanks to the Bluetooth connection between the MBB control on the tail lift and a mobile device, all important information is available in real time and can quickly eliminate faults. PALFINGER Connected combines the Fleet Monitor, Operator Monitor and Service Cockpit functions and guarantees a constant flow of accurate information for scheduling upcoming tasks and maintenance jobs. That is how PALFINGER reduces downtime, optimizes service work, ensures the most efficient use of resources and increases performance over the entire operating time.
Eco-Efficient Solutions
Everyday work is changing and requirements are becoming more varied. It is important to measurably reduce CO2 emissions and noise. This is something offered by e-mobility, of which PALFINGER is making full use. In particular, using the vehicle as a source of energy for the mounted equipment. This means that the electric truck and all PALFINGER solutions need to be simple, efficient and able to operate anywhere. The emission-free operated PK 250 TEC loader crane and the PH T 20 TEC 5 hooklift will be displayed on an eVolvo truck. The operating mode can be changed at the push of a button between a Li-Ion battery pack and power supplied from the vehicle engine.
Customer Centricity as a Success Model
The customer is the focus of all PALFINGER solutions and services. Their combined strengths and new technological developments achieve even higher performance, longer reach, greater cost-effectiveness and more eco-efficiency. “That is what defines PALFINGER,” says Andreas Klauser, “we combine our expertise as a machine manufacturer with the most innovative technology, and we work together closely with our customers. Together we are shaping the future. At the IAA, we are demonstrating what we can do.”
