Marianne Heiss, a highly renowned manager, strengthens PALFINGER's future-focused positioning with her expertise in financial management and sustainable corporate governance. Her key topics - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) - are becoming increasingly important in financial markets.

“I am happy the Annual General Meeting of PALFINGER AG appointed Marianne Heiss to the Supervisory Board today. With her expertise in financial management, CSR and ESG, she strengthens the company's positioning,” says Hubert Palfinger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PALFINGER AG.

Successful and experienced

Marianne Heiss is known as one of the most renowned managers and leaders in German economy. As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and before that as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Austrian manager has decisively shaped the success of the American communications and brand company BBDO in Europe and Germany. As European Finance Director, she was previously responsible for 18 European countries within the company. She has served on the supervisory boards of Volkswagen AG, Audi AG and Porsche SE since 2018, and has been a member of the supervisory board and audit committee of Paysafe Limited since 2024. Marianne Heiss is also a member of the advisory board of Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG (Ritter Sport) and UNICEF Honorary Representative for Philanthropy and Partnerships in Austria.

With this and with her international network across numerous industries and committees, she brings essential expertise to the future-focused positioning of PALFINGER AG.

Well Positioned

Above all, Marianne Heiss reflects key areas of work and the strategic orientation of PALFINGER: Since the beginning of 2024, Maria Koller has been centrally responsible for the topic of HR on the Executive Board. Now there is the opportunity to align the agendas of the Supervisory Board even more closely with the future positioning of the company because CSR and ESG play an important role in this context, also with regard to the financial market.
