PALFINGER: Strong Presence at BIM Career Fair 2023

28.11.2023

The international technology company offers talented young people 18 different technical and commercial apprenticeships. At this year's BIM Career Fair in Salzburg, PALFINGER took the opportunity to present its wide range of exciting career opportunities.

The aim of the Salzburg Career Information Fair (BIM) is to address tomorrow's skilled workers today. Where competition is fierce and there is a wide choice of offers, you need to attract attention. The workbench at PALFINGER's stand at the BIM 2023 was a perfect eye-catcher for the more than 30,000 visitors. Here, under expert supervision, the many interested young people were able to assemble a model of a truck with its PALFINGER loader crane — and take it home. And there was so much more to experience.

“With an apprenticeship at PALFINGER, we offer the ideal combination of practical skills, theoretical background knowledge and important key qualifications,” explains Bernhard Eicher, Head of Apprenticeship Training at PALFINGER. The innovative technology company is currently training 140 apprentices in 18 different technical and commercial professions at its new training and education center, the PALFINGER Campus in Lengau.

“We are looking for young, motivated people who are fully committed and have their professional career clearly in focus,” says Eicher. The PALFINGER apprenticeship tagline is ”Start your PALFUTURE with us”. Young future professionals benefit from practice-oriented and varied training in a global organization. Numerous benefits, such as bonuses for outstanding performance and the opportunity to represent the company in international competitions, guarantee they enjoy their time as an apprentice. In addition, the company’s international training program makes it possible to visit PALFINGER locations all over the world, from Spain to China. The result: After successfully completing their training, nine out of ten apprentices stay with the company to take advantage of the diverse career opportunities.

Daniel Schinagl proved that everything is possible with an apprenticeship at PALFINGER by winning the Austrian Championships in welding during the BIM, taking first place once again. Apprentices from all over Austria competed in 29 categories. PALFINGER apprentice Julian Gramlinger also achieved a place on the podium. “For PALFINGER, the BIM is the perfect place to attract young people from the region by arousing their interest,” says Eicher. On December 2, at Apprenticeship Day, it is possible to dive even deeper into the world of PALFINGER at the Campus in Lengau.
