From hands-on technology to encounters with animals, the program offered children new impressions and experiences every day. Highlights included visit to “Haus der Natur” in Salzburg, exciting insights into the Pioneer Garage Salzburg, a trip to see animals being cared for at the Gut Aiderbichl Academy in Henndorf, and an exciting day at the PALFINGER World in Lengau, PALFINGER's largest production site worldwide.
Family-friendly company culture that works
“Our 'Summer Holidays at Work' initiative sees us offer families real support that is affordable, reliable and close to their place of work. This makes the everyday life of our employees noticeably easier and shows how seriously we take family-friendliness. It is one of many initiatives with which we specifically promote the balance between work and family life. For us, this is not an empty promise – we make it happen,” says Maria Koller, CHRO at PALFINGER.
As an officially certified family-friendly company, PALFINGER sends a strong message to its employees. In addition to flexible working hours, working from home, ”Spürnasenecken” in kindergartens, part-time retirement, and special leave for caring for loved ones, childcare during school holidays makes a big contribution to providing families with real support.
Three sites – one strong offering
Employees’ families were offered five weeks of childcare during the school holidays in Lengau, four weeks in Bergheim, and two weeks in Köstendorf. With this level of support, PALFINGER really takes the pressure off everyday life and makes it much easier to balance job and family in a reliable and uncomplicated way.
