For many parents, the school summer holidays are a major challenge for managing family and work. With its successful ‘Summer Holidays at Work’ program, PALFINGER, together with the local childcare organization ‘Kinderfreunde’, offers children several exciting weeks while supporting parents during school vacations.
Spending the school holidays where the parents work has been made possible by the PALFINGER “Summer Holidays at Work” initiative. This is the sixth year that local childcare organization “Kinderfreunde Innviertel” together with the municipalities of Bergheim, Friedburg and Schneegattern offered employees’ children a varied and exciting holiday program.
Guaranteed adventure and fun
A total of 91 adventurous and creative children experienced new and exciting highlights every day. The activities ranged from the Salzburg Zoo and the Korndoblerhof organic herb farm, to the Traumwerk car and railway museum in Freilassing and exploring PALFINGER World in Lengau. “We are delighted that so many people are making use of our 'Holiday at work' initiative. We place great value on offering a varied and inclusive program. Every child should have the opportunity to try things out and discover their interests. With this approach, we want to ensure that every summer holiday is an unforgettable experience that fills the children with positive memories,” says PALfit team’s Marie Hartig, who is responsible for the initiative.
Work and family in harmony
PALFINGER offers cost-effective, all-day childcare during the school holidays in both the Salzburg and Lengau regions. In Salzburg, child care was available for three weeks this year, and in Lengau for a total of five weeks. That is how PALFINGER helps its employees to successfully overcome the big school holidays challenge.
“Nine weeks of summer vacation can be a long time, which is why we specifically support employees with family responsibilities with our ‘Summer Holidays at Work’ program and promote the compatibility of work and family.
